Anye Hillary. – Board Member
Mr. Anye Hillary as Director of Tort for Torture Victims Centre (TT-VC) Cameroon, a partner NGO to the eahrhi is a co-opted Board Member of the Institute. Hillary is a holder of a post-graduate diploma (Law) from the University of Yaoundé II at Soa, a Diploma from the International Training Centre in Italy (ILO) where he focused on: “Towards an inclusive society: How to tackle discrimination in the world of work”. His zeal for justice and the respect for human rights led his creation of Tort for Torture Victims Centre (TT-VC) in 1998, a non-governmental organization. TT-VC has organized and successfully carried out several field and on-spot intervention to several cases of human torture, deprivation of liberty and inhumane and degrading treatment of suspects or persons in prison.
For over 18 years, Hillary has traveled extensively engaging in speaking, training and facilitating of several national and international seminars and workshops on diverse social, humanitarian and cultural issues affecting humanity. He has acquired both outstanding legal experience in human rights issues especially on issues of freedom, liberty, detention proceedings and judgments. He has overtime developed considerable pro-bono and paid legal interventions in civil and criminal matters that touch the above rights and concepts. Hillary is a fast leaner and communicates fluently in the English and French languages. He is married with three children.
